This residence hall is named in honor of the family of board member Joseph Mathews.
Located on the horizon side of campus, 马修斯厅 is home to 180 male, freshman students spread out among the four floors with students from a variety of majors, 体育, and cultural backgrounds. The rooms are a made-up of two-person bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom in between two rooms, along with a handful of three-person rooms with a private bathroom. Mathews has stairs and a fully-functional elevator to transport students to upper floors. Each resident of Lindenwood University in Mathews is provided with an extra-long twin bed frame, 床垫, three-drawer dresser, 桌子上, 椅子和壁橱.
On the second floor of Mathews, there is a comfortable lounge furnished with couches, 表, 椅子, 一台微波炉, 桌上足球, table tennis table and a big screen TV, 非常适合用餐, 研究, or gaming tournaments. In addition to the lounge, there is also a laundry facility on the first floor. Students are allowed to have mini-fridges in their rooms, as well as one microwave per room (700 watts or less). Any additional furniture a resident wishes to bring into their room that compromises the shared space between roommates must be approved by the Residential Community Coordinator over Mathews hall.
Mathews is complete with all the modern amenities such as air conditioning, 新的无线网络, and has several handicap accessible certified rooms.
